COACH chose the VK-70 film for its high optical clarity and superior solar heat rejection for its store. V-Kool films allow customers to view store displays and merchandise clearly from the outside without reduced visibility that is often caused by films that use dark tints or reflective metalized coatings. There are no dyes, tints or highly reflective metals used in V-Kool films yet they block out 99% of the sun’s UV and 94% of the infrared rays which cause fading damage to store merchandise, fabrics and carpets.
The Coach Outlet Store, now with the V-Kool film, will have 77% of the natural daylight shine through the windows and into the display areas. This is the result of V-Kool’s specialized coating that allows the maximum visible light in while providing substantial reduction in solar heat gain. V-Kool’s light transmission performance is unsurpassed in the industry while blocking out up to 65% of total heat gain, thereby reducing air conditioning costs without affecting comfort levels.
